ST. JOSEPH TOWNSHIP — A St. Joseph Township police officer Monday evening, April 8, shot and killed a 42-year-old Tennessee man who drove a semi-tractor trailer through a residential area in the township neighborhood of Fairplain, crashing into a patrol car and a house.
Michigan State Police, which is investigating the incident, said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the shooting happened after the truck driver fled on foot and was contacted by the officer.
