LAWRENCE — Van Buren County health officials are warning residents about the rising cases of syphilis.

As April marks Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) month, The Van Buren/Cass District Health Department is focusing on raising awareness about the importance of routine screening for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), particularly syphilis, according to Holly Young, health department community coordinator.
